1. How does our Jury work?
Bungu Art Market's application process is 100% Juried. Jury selection means that all vendors considered for the market are selected through a process by our team. Since Bungu Art Market functions as an independent artist's alley, Vendors will always consist of 80% artists, and 20% creators/makers of other small business categories.
2. Do I need to RSVP?
RSVPs for Bungu Art Market are mainly to help us manage attendance. However this year we DO NOT have an RSVP system. Since we are in a much bigger venue than before, our traffic/line control should be kept to a minimum with more free flow within the market.
However please listen to our staff and volunteers at the event in the case there may be a line.
3. How often do we host Bungu Art Market?
Bungu Art Market is organized by Charmaine, also known as MahchaMoon, with the support of a small but dedicated team. Our crew is made up of fellow artists, small business owners, and essential workers who generously volunteer their time and talents. Because of our busy schedules and the care we put into each event, Bungu will only be held once or twice a year. This gives us the space to grow, improve, and make each market better than the last!
4. Is cosplay allowed?
Absolutely! However we kindly ask you to refrain from bringing props (any weapon types) to the market due to the public space of the event, sorry!
5. Can I bring my pet?
As much as we love your cute pets, they are NOT allowed inside the University of Calgary buildings. (aside from service animals)
6. Is the venue wheelchair/handicap friendly?
Yes we are! There are multiple elevators and ramps that can be used for your convenience!
